The results of the Golden Globes are in and we have a winner for our fundraising contest as well!
For those of you who are unaware, our team for the Breast Cancer 3 Day, Relentless Optimism, recently ran a contest to see who could correctly predict the most winners at the 2010 Golden Globes in 25 categories. Each entry was accompanied by a small donation to Relentless Optimism to help us raise money for breast cancer research and the winner was awarded a small cash prize. Our Golden Globes contest generated 11 entries and raised $55 towards our team's fundraising goals. Our most heartfelt thanks goes out to all of our participants, listed here in no particular order: Karen Sager, Dawn Mazzanti, JT Shoemaker, Sarah Barrows, Kelly Langdon (who entered twice!), Hally Trementozzi, Rex Sager, Roger Sager, and Kristin Moreland. Oh, and I entered, too.
Most of our participants proved fairly adept at forecasting the future, with more than half of you correctly predicting more than a third of the winners. We actually had a tie between two people for the most correct guesses, with each of them correctly predicting the winners in 12 out of 25 categories. Our ultimate winner was chosen by a blind draw between the two and is (drum roll please.....):
